In November 2016, Philip Burton was awarded third prize (£250) in the Buxton Literary Festival poetry competition sponsored by Lady Jasmine Cavendish and by the University of Derby. Philip has accepted invitations to read at two festivals in March 2017: Lancaster Litfest, and the Teignmouth Poetry Festival.
